A few weeks ago when I was at my favorite local coin store the owner hit me with a bombshell, after being in business for over 30 years he's planning on closing the doors and moving to Florida to retire. His lease runs out in December and that's when he's out of here.

I was super bummed. BUT...

The byproduct of this is that he's cleaning out his inventory. He's practically giving most of his modern stuff away.

So today I bought a SLEW of Mint Sets and Souvenir sets today

here's the kicker... AT FACE!

All coins are in Mint cellos, some of them have individual coins missing from the set, but most of are complete.

7 Ikes
9 SBAs
2 Sacs
33 Kennedy's (including 1 65 and 3 69's)
50 Washingtons
47 Roosevelts
47 Jeffersons
51 Lincolns

That's more than $54 in face value... I paid $55!

And these don't look to be your normal run of the mill mint sets either... About half of them are I guess... But there are quite a few individual coins here which I wouldn't be surprised to see hit in the 65+ range.

how about some pictures

Cool!
What's the name of the store that is closing?

It's the one in Bellaire on Rice St. I think it's called Collectors Coin Store.

I don't even know where to begin on Pics...
I'm looking through them and there are a couple of standouts.

1965 Quarter minimum of MS67 (and quite a cameo on it as well)
At least 4 Full Steps Jeffersons.

I think most of these are going to end up being trade goods... for instance 5 1970P Mint sets, 3 PD bicentenial mint sets, etc... just lots of great stuff.
