"I plowed the farm today"

My usual farm spot turned up another assortment for me today.
*Asst'd old shotgun shell heads, two small casings, and some lead pieces.
*1939 & 1944 wheat pennies.
*A 1948 "Fort Dodge" vaccination tag. I think Fort Dodge is in Iowa, so this dog had a loooooong walk to get to NC.
*A red convert. Tootsietoy in one piece with all 4 rubber wheels still. 1940's ???
*A busted up Greyhound Bus with the two little plastic gem like tail lights still attached. 1940's???
* A bell in wonderful shape. It's heavy. Brass?
*An unknown heavy old brass piece (in picture below the bell). Any idea what this is?
*A gold leaf, possibly from an earing?
*2 more rose tags.
*2 more buckles.
*A small (about 3") metal toy wheel.
*Clock piece.
This may be my last post for a few days. :( My back is killing me and I need a manicure! ;)
Thanks for looking.
Happy hunting this w/end folks,
MM

Re: "I plowed the farm today"

Cool digs. The dog tag is nice, very unique. And the cars are cool. Love those old rides.

Re: "I plowed the farm today"

You've plowed up some good finds!

Fossis.........................

Re: "I plowed the farm today"

ModernMiner,the tootsietoy-It's a Ford convertible,1949. 8) By he way,that's a nice bunch of relics you got there! :)

Re: "I plowed the farm today"

"Fort Dodge" is actually a manufacturer of vaccines. so most likely the tag is just identifying the rabies brand of vaccine, not the location.

Re: "I plowed the farm today"

I'm glad your taking a break!!!

I am running out of ways to tell you: "Great Job!"; "WTG!"; "Awesome finds!"; "I wish I could detect there!"; "Man, nice pictures!"; "etc..." ;) ;D

MM - Your tearing that farm up... do you know how many people here wait forever to get their hands on a place like that? We are all enjoying your posts, and I told you when you first got to treasurenet that I really enjoyed your enthusiasm and excitment... it's still fun to see you enjoying it so much!

I'm sure we will see you in the whatsit section... and btw - WTG!

Re: "I plowed the farm today"

Neat relics!

I think the odd brass thing ==just might be an old small cannon shell (shape)

you might have found a real "goodie" there. hard to judge the size how big is the bell?

Re: "I plowed the farm today"

Thanks Jim.
I guess I just got lucky at discovering this farm location?
Honestly, I feel like I may be overloading you guys with my posts. Some things may be of value, but some just junk.
Junk or treasure, it still excites the heck out of me to find these things from days gone by.
I am still drooling though when I see others posting old coins. I can't believe I haven't even found a silver dime yet! I'll keep trying though.
I appreciate everyones help here on TN. I learn something new on this site every day.
Even a WTG can make it all worth it.
Have a great w/end.
