I took a small coil on why I am underneath these trees branches that go to the ground is because one of the come summer those leaves and everything else you cannot get in there. I’ll pull the coin I don’t know what it is I poured water on it but I don’t wanna ruin it and the date says 1760 if anybody has some clues while it’s dirty I’d love to hear it if not I’m gonna clean it up. Even now I have to ask what’s the best way she’ll clean the silver thank you 63382414763__853A10C4-E9F7-4DD7-92D5-101FC9F43F20.webp

Very cool find

Cool find even of it is fake

it has the capital R which is a 1 reale
it would have 2R if it was
i have found a few that were in fires that made them look like pewter or counterfeit
but they arent
i just rinse them now - you want to shine - rub lightly with baking soda and water

Three dunks and lemon juice for five minutes then wash it thoroughly and this is what I got. I see little silver specs if you look closely just give it to me is it a rare real or is it counterfeitIMG_1315.webp

Nice Save Truth. Well Done.

Nice whether real or not, don't know. Use the Andres when you get them, maybe it will bring out some shine. Same motion as toothpicking if you know what I mean. Good luck.

I just spoke with my guy Ian’sHe said he’s 95% sure that that is a original 2 reales? What are y’all think?

Looks good to me. Mexico City 1 real.
i think the silvery areas are the cleaned sections beneath the black oxidation.
the pillar and globes are referred to as the pillar dollar, however, your denomination is smaller.
If it were a 2 reales you would see a 2R. R is a 1 real.
Maybe try buckleboys hot water and foil technique. You can find it in the cleaning and preservation section.
Personally I think it’s real. However a early counterfeit is an even better find in my eyes, as they seem to be rarer an even more interesting. A coin is a coin, but a counterfeit has a story all of its own.

Yeah Bonepicker I think you’re right it’s a one real. My oldest silver my brother are you hunting still Bonepicker?

Hey Bonepicker when are you gonna come ride out here or we can ride by you . Nice talking to you bravo hit me up

I think it's real. Do you use an ID detector? Pewter and Silver should show the difference..

I think it's real. Congrats! Either way it's a cool find.

Nice find Truth. Nothing like that up here by me. What was the VDI on the Nox with the small coil? Just got the 6in coil myself. 3 hunts in with it and I got 2 silvers in the iron for me. Keep it up!

Brother you don’t have to tell me dude I’m Metal Detecting afford that never showed her the action and has already been architecturally checked well they were lazy because I got to go deep into white shells and it’s a pain in my butt most of the time but when it’s good it’s great. You might want to try a small coil it really does come in handy

Looks like silver showing through the crud. You can zap with electrolysis for about 30 seconds using a small cell phone charger transformer and all that black build up will just fall off. I've done it on several coins that looked like yours. Just don't over do it or you will leave a dull/matte finish on the coin.

Yeah screw that’s where I’m at right now should I leave it alone or zap it I’ve ruined my share of coins So I’m on the fence I wish I could see it a little clearer but not much. Oh yeah there is some silver waiting to shine. Ugggh Decisions decisions
