Still plugging away at things in the park, and have moved to the second of the two campgrounds. Rumor had it there used to be a club house from when the park was a privately owned sportsman's club, and some shotgun shells seem to confirm that rumor...

Pretty good indication that the campgrounds haven't been detected (along with all the old style pull tabs). And while I have yet to find anything WOW worthy, I am pretty happy with the consistency... The first camp ground was LOTS of trash - both trash trash and aluminum scrap trash. So far, it has been WAY different in the second camp ground... Today I picked up just shy of $1 in clad (1Q, 4D, 3N, 17P), and only had 3 trash-trash targets (foil wrapper or iron). Everything else was at least aluminum that can go in to the scrap bucket, and even then I would guess that over 50% of my targets were coins...
And one find that I got a laugh out of, just because I NEVER would have thought I might find it while detecting...
