I was out metal detecting at an old colonial site on the coast in South Georgia and started to dig up an oyster shell mound. A bunch of indian pottery came out, but as I was detecting I noticed a piece of broken china. I usually collect the china pieces with color or designs. I thought that the was another broken piece of red china. But wow, it appears to be a beautiful indian artifact?

Given where you found it, I would say that it is a reduction flake from the making of a tool or point.

Looking like just a flake. Maybe around that area there would be an actual artifact made out of that material.
