I thunk I dug a silver spoon today.

I hit a permission that turned out to be not older than I was told, but, it did give up a couple of rosies, 11 wheats and misc tokens from the 60's, I did find what I think is a silver spoon, man, I kissed it good too It's very thin, half as thick as a dime and has initials on the handle plus some markings on the back. Any one see these before and know what they stand for, thanks.

Good job ! Typically there would be a date letter on a British sterling piece , but from the style I'm guessing 1840 -1860 . I would expect to see a monarch profile mark there as well ,maybe thats the first mark left to right ?

Just got a better look at that first mark - looks like an arm with a raised hammer ! Makers mark ? Should help to pin it down .

These are not British Hallmarks. I think they are coping our style,not sure if its to fool or legit. But the research needs to go in a different direction.

Yes & whatever that is (I agree with your assessment) points it in a possible US direction. (Well at least away from the UK) The Lion & Crown are both wrong as well.

The marking: Pure Coin indicates 90% silver.
In the 1880's, the U.S. switched to 92.5% silver or Sterling to make U.S. made silverware equal to the European Silverware which was 925 or Sterling.
