that one is the right brand but not the right type.

I think I have seen that bottle somewhere??
They might have it at some antique store, somewhere. Where is the question??, though. Is it a super rare bottle? Got to be a few out there somewhere.

1880's??

it does seem to be an older example, late 1860's early 70's

You could try some antique shops in the area of where the bottle was made, if your in that area yourself. That is a nice looking bottle.

Keep an eye on Holabird auctions and American bottle auctions out of Sacramento. You can go to fohbc.com (federation of historic bottle collectors) there you can find the local clubs around San Francisco, contact them to put the word out and check some bottle shows . luck on your hunt ! Hope you find one !

Dad likely has one (maybe more), but he certainly wouldn’t let go of a dug embossed S.F. Whiskey.

Ahhh did you want it empty or FULL ???

,,,ooooh good question......

My younger brother owns about 5 acres of land that has been the original owners land for over 150 years. the original owner died about40 years ago and he was born on that property. His folks lived /farmed this land and like all that lived in those times had a trash / bottle dump like everyone else. we found it while my brother was making improvements to (now) his property and we found where that bottle dump is . LOTS of OLD bottles / jars BUT he don't want anyone digging there ! BUT it's just a type of location to dig ! My daughter also found a old outhouse location when they were digging for a new fence line and started finding old bottles , they saved a few of them but weren't interested in digging for them and finished the fence line . Just a few ideas on where to dig that you probly already know ! GOOD LUCK !
