I was counting my first box of coins and my mom threw a gold coin at me litteraly

Can someone tell me how much this 1850 gold coin is worth? My mom threw it at me and said I can have it.
I am a total noob but I know it's got to be worth something other then just the gold. It's marked two and half dollars on it. Then she started bring out one of out 5 boxes of silver coins. Check it out and let me know the value of the gold please. :laughing7:

If it's real, then it is worth $201.59 (melt value) but I'm sure it is probably has more numismatic value. Someone else here can tell you more info on it.

Thanks guys it has to be worth only melt value since my mom pried it out of a ring with a driver bending the coin! It was given to us my a family friend 10 years ago and she had it set into a ring for her ex. For some reason my mom doesn't care about stuff much or know any better, she threw my bazooka tube bass speaker today and cracked my speaker box =( I said you need to stop throwing things but the gold coin pays for it, I guess.

Take a tip from one who has had many things thrown at him by various women, sometimes deserved, occasionally not......Buy your Mum some flowers with it. that's a better investment than putting it in the bank!!
