This doe just trotted across the field,I don't like the looks of her inner right hind leg either.

You mean the inner portion near the knee? That's a gland. Guess you missed the deer pic I posted recently. Shows the glands on both legs flared out.

Hard to tell from the pic - might just be caked-on mud? With the deep water-filled ditches we have around here, it's not unusual to see deer that look like they've been playing in a swamp -- -- oh wait, they HAVE!

I just can't tell on my screen. When I enlarge, the image gets too blurry.
