Hello all, lots of digging today in the part of the field that i've been over twice. This time i gridded properly and came
up with a good few bits!

Over 20 buttons :o
Lead tokens and seals,
a spindle whorl
a thingy with tudor roses on it :dontknow:
a 1949 sixpence and a george111 halfpenny
and a pan weight with markings!

No hammered to replace the TWO i have now lost at the hands of my missus :'(

Is there a link for the ID on this piece or is it a Silver Searcher find ?

Does everything need a link? Its in a few books, I'm sure there are plenty online. But it is what it is, link or not.

No don't need a link for all ID's. Books some times only way to establish one :icon_thumright: I'm not saying it isn't horse furniture. How was it attached? Encased in leather? My first thought was more like harness.

Seems to be iron on the back and two lugs! So maybe the lugs went through the leather and into the iron, then folded over :dontknow:

Similar attachment as a Rosette (U shaped), in fact you could call this a Rosette but not a word the UK use.

I see it now. Agree briddle rosette and appear very similar to the one Silver Searcher found :icon_thumright:

The first one was lost when i left it on the computer and she moved it. I went mad looking for it :tongue3:

The second was when i still hadn't learnt my lesson and left it on the table (in a couple of seal bags so i wouldn't lose it) and
she threw it out! Bin men had been before i realized >:(

Thanks the link Silver Searcher

Go find some more hammered Shaun7  Maybe you need a display case so you finds don't get lost :D

Must have missed the posts or are those lost too :D

I can't make out what the item is above the lead bag seal, sorry.

The weight, has 3 verification marks on it a 'jug' shaped object, sword and a crowned ? Is it a G? If so its Georgian.
