And I even managed to find a few pieces :laughing7:

Between the rain and easter dinner at my parents yesterday, I managed to get a few hours in at a spot in my old hometown that usually gives up some silver. With the price of silver what it is right now, I have diverted some of my time away from older relics to try and find silver. Here are yesterdays finds. Both mercs are in pretty nice shape.

good job on the silvers!!! The IHs are very nice but the item in the upper Left corner needs some more attention!

So are silver prices really that good right now???

Steve, it appears your search was successful. Nice coins. HH, Quindy.

Silver prices are really high right now, up around $47.00/ounce. I am tempted to cash in a lot of old silver coins I saved when I was a kid. The ones I found metal detecting would be harder to let go.

I'd hold on to them a while. Silver will go over $50 an oz. shortly.

Indains & Mercs good hunt.

Love your '30. Great condition and good looking coin. I love finding war nickels, but mine are always quite black. Easy to figure out with that huge mint mark on the back. Can you imagine that the govt. actually had plans to pull all of the silvers out of circulation as they went through the system? Someone finally showed some good sense in not doing so.

Nice Hunt Steve, You got what you set out for !
Congrats on some nice coinage

Very nice. I have a few locations in my hometown I would like to hit. I suspect a similar result.

That's great that you can achieve your intended goal. Kinda like Bath Ruth pointing to the bleachers. From what I'm hearing, gold and silver have a long way to go before peaking out. I'm holding on to mine and see what happens down the road. Nice hunt BTW!!

Please post more pics of your nickel ... something doesn't look quite right there.

Are you talking about what looks like a diagonal line after the last 4 in the date? I don't have access to the nickel to get more pics. I left it at my parents house which is 50 miles away. Let me know what your seeing and I will check it out next time I visit my parents.

Nice finds :icon_thumleft:

What is that a piece of jewelry in the upper left hand corner?

I love the relics over coins any day

Silver is always a welcome site! Especially when you have to work for it, in that spot everyone else has ran over!
