It looks like some kind of tourist keepsake probably meant more to be used as a bottle opener than as an axe. The context of where you found it / how you found it etc. can always make a find more interesting.

I like it. if you Google "Thailand axe bottle opener" you'll see loads of them. Some claimed antique or vintage, some not. Some with wooden inlaid handles (claimed to be rosewood but probably not), some without. The older ones tend to be more ornate than yours, sometimes with a dragon-head and its mouth as the bottle opener. A novelty item, like your devil's head letter opener, but of uncertain age.

Note that the opener is for crown caps of the type commonly used on beer bottles, but those weren't invented until 1892

I'm pretty sure I saw similar items in the pseudo-antique markets on visits to Bangkok and likely not even old enough to be called vintage.
