Are those flakes from ancient knapping? The variety of colors is amazing.
yes, all flakes from knapping. Sometimes you find a spot with 8 or 10 of the exact same flakes all clustered together, those I don't touch, they tell a story.... some guy sat right there, however long ago, and flaked a point. I can wander these spots and pick up fist sized and bigger cobbles of red, orange, yellow, brown, or mixed color jaspers. NV is like a giant beach to beachcombing on . Full of western history too.

Only one I’ve found as well. I’d like to find one made of of chert. By the size being near 3 inches I would consider it being old. Show us yours if it’s handy

you ever have one of those days where you are done hunting and then turn around to go back and then BAM... one is at your foot! The little one with the red tip.
