ID of foreign coins.

Now that I have more time on my hands before the nice weather gets here, I need to ID a lot of foreign coins that I have collected. I'd like to also find out if they are of any silver content, etc., so I don't dump them too cheaply.
What is the best on line www site to get this info data. Some coins go back to the late 1870-1890's.
Your help is appreciated.

Google what you can read-- coinnews will likely have all you need including USD value-- that & a magnet:dontknow:.... most foreign are junk-- BUT... collectible for many:happysmiley:

ebay is a pretty good source too, look in "advanced" for what they sold for.

Sometimes you can find an old version of The Standard Catalog Of World Coins cheap enough to afford. Good resource for I.D.ing old foreign coins.
