id on possible civil war era padlock? golden slipper cigarettes

heres some items i found at a possible homestead. was wondering if piece on upper left could have been a part of an old lock. the center piece says golden slipper and ive notice some ads for cigarettes from around 1883 that has this exact picture on the cigarette pack.
