HOLA, This is for actual information, I believe that I know which animal this came from, but----

It was found in North Western Mexico in a dry arroyo approx 15 ft under the overburden by a gentleman looking for Gold on the bedrock.

My brother has a prehistoric camel tooth that looks a lot like that. It's either that or a horse tooth, like others have said. If it's a camel tooth it's worth some bucks, as they went extinct at least 10,000 years ago. Same for prehistoric horses in North America, but they were much smaller than the horse as we know it today.

HI, it is obviously a herbivore, but which? Remember it is broken off at 3 1/2 ", actual length??

The extinct horses were diminutive no? Camels also?

I tend to favor the 'Entelodonts', giant hogs.

******

Having been told in many uncertain ways and different tones of voice that 'I' am a mule, I can assure you that none of my teeth are like that. Sides. it IS fosilized, all rock.

p.s. Now you know why Doc and I are alike, both have IRISH & scot bleed. Fotunately 'my' mixture is predominately IRISH.

Doc, the lowering quality on my side were the Griffith's ---- hmm almost married a beauty from Liverpool that was a Griffith. What a beautiful voice she had, I could listen to her all day long, but not at night.
