How is this any different than the couple who found all of the gold coins in northern california a few years ago. Yes the coins were on their property but the coins didnt belong to them. They were allowed to keep them.

Found treasure is not earned income, so under what income tax provision is it taxed? Capital gains?

I'm not sure what you mean by "If they don't Believe in Treasure, They Don't Matter". The author doesn't believe in this particular treasure story and he uses logic and reason to present his case as to why. I believe he's probably right. Scott Taylor likely lied about the whole thing.

The author doesn't believe the story. I guess he could say Scott Taylor "made it up". Or maybe, Scott Taylor isn't "being truthful". But when you boil it down Bob Lonsberry thinks Scott Taylor is a liar and said so. Straight and to the point in my opinion. No harm in that.
