Good for them for paying their taxes. I live in Connecticut who has state income taxes.

Maryland has both state income taxes (about 5.75%) and county income taxes (55-60% of state tax) for a total of about 9 - 9.25% depending on county.

Found treasure is not earned income, so under what income tax provision is it taxed? Capital gains?

Yep a pretty dumb guy, I guess he wants the government to have it so they can buy some more refugees houses, cars, and move in money like their doing around my neighborhood.

The difference is, those gold coins were real and we had proof! Finders had them appraised and paid the taxes.

Which begs the question...if any of you found them would you tell anyone and how would you go about selling them? Is it possible to leak them one or two at a time into the system?

I'm not sure what you mean by "If they don't Believe in Treasure, They Don't Matter". The author doesn't believe in this particular treasure story and he uses logic and reason to present his case as to why. I believe he's probably right. Scott Taylor likely lied about the whole thing.

The author doesn't believe the story. I guess he could say Scott Taylor "made it up". Or maybe, Scott Taylor isn't "being truthful". But when you boil it down Bob Lonsberry thinks Scott Taylor is a liar and said so. Straight and to the point in my opinion. No harm in that.

Means Nothing to Me
