Found this a few feet away from a 1787 Connecticut copper at around the same depth, but I'm not convinced it's colonial. But since I have no idea what it is in the first place, I thought it best to post it here and get the expert opinions!

It has a shank-like protrusion on the back with a hole, but it's on the large size for even a dandy button and it's nearly 3/8" tall with the design. No back marks unfortunately and it looks like copper exterior, but it's far too light to be solid copper and it rang in the 60-70's on the AT Pro. Have you guys seen one of these before?
