IF you found a treasure box with GPR...

Here's the fictional problem. You have rented a GPR device after spending cash to take the two day course. You head to a beach near a known ship debris field. After less than a day...bingo. You can't believe your eyes. Right there on the screen is a rectangular box at about eight feet. You dig a 'test' hole and hit water at about two and a half feet...it seeps in and collapses the hole sides like quicksand.

It's very hot, your heart is pounding, you secure the GPS coordinates then leave.

Big question....How to remove the 'box' without drawing much if any attention? Can't bring a backhoe on the beach....

Just a thought IF this situation would ever arise.

Set Overkill Overkill's plexiglass box over the hole and dig letting it settle while pumping the water out. :laughing7:

Logistically, its a nightmare scenario.

Unless you were willing to risk sneaking out there in the middle of the night with a large shovel and make a wide trench after several hours of back breaking work, it probably isn't going to happen.

Or you could drop a few grenades and hope for the best... :laughing7:

At 8 feet you should be able to devise some sort of grabber on a pole. Could you force such a thing that deep into the sand?

I can tell you how to get it ,but I want half.

There are those who dig...and those who watch...pick up the shovel Tuco...

You guys remember Oak Island, Nova Scotia. Similar situation here but not as deep--yet.
Good luck on your dig.
