Ask Victor Frankl; MAN'S SEARCH FOR MEANING...

Well I most certainly would not expect my Govt. to supply me my resources. This is what family, churches and charity groups used to do a lot more of until elected personal started taking from some and giving to others (welfare handouts). I'd personally kill my our food and reach out to the 3 groups mentioned. I could of collected S.S. for 16 years when my little girls mother died and didn't.

Well, I partly fell into this situation!
I came home from a trip to the west coast to do some prospecting.
I went to bed and woke to find the house burning down around me.
I was overcome by the thick smoke and could only save my skivvies, slippers (hay it was snowing outside), and the curtain on the double glass door. My first neighbor was out, I woke up the next neighbor . She gave me a sweat suit and called the fire dept.
Total damage was house, car, new motor home and everything I owned but the land. All I had left was an old '78 MH that didn't run,had a broken heater and a frig that didn't work.
I stayed at my sons house while I drew plans for a new home. I bought a left over '98 Isuzu pickup. I got all the permits. I lived in that old 18' MH for 1 year while I built the house myself with some help from my sons after they got off work. It killed my retirement fund and my golden years plans.
Hay, but I have a good home and it's paid for. I sold off part of the farm and got another MH and part of the dream lives on. Frank...

MN Stanton Az 04.webp If I had it to do over again, I would have sold off part of the farm and lived in this.

Good for you Frankn... And I'm sorry for your lose and proud of you for your recovery. My home burned down when I was 15 and friends, family, church and others all helped my family rebuild. My dad would have NOT taken from the Govt. Most welfare "handouts" given today just go on and on and on and on... with no end in site. It turns into a lifestyle. Good job guy.... Brad

well if by 'everything' you mean my job too. I would have to fall on my backup plan. Call the old swimsuit models I used to photograph and sponge.

Hey good buddy and friend.... did you get my Christmas card? I've sent $2.00 also BUDDY. Times are getting hard here! Can I come back there and use your backup plan good buddy?

When I left home years ago, that was my situation. I would just do as I did before. Build a new life one piece at a time...

Absolutely! My old Dodge diesel has 406,000 miles on it and still going strong! I also have a 2010 wrangler that I bought new and garage every winter. Just about 21,000 miles on it and barely broke in!

That wrangler will last along time if you take care of her. I have a 1993 jeep grand Cherokee with the 4.0 and it has 226k miles and its still going strong! It has a few leaks but that's normal with those jeeps if its not leaking its most likely empty. Wish they still put those great i6s in there jeeps. Those motors are tried and true just take car of them! Not to sure what's in you're wrangler but I haven't heard anything bad about them on jeepforums.

A VW van is great for a single guy. There's a lot of videos on You Tube about travelling in a van. There is even one with Tom Hanks travelling around . Most people don't recognize him. The voice is his for sure.

Frankn.... Have you ever heard of insurance.....? try it.

(No offense but how can you work your entire life, pay off your home, live the American dream, and lose it all for $450 a year.....)

My jeep (jk) has a 3.8 v6. Not a power house but does seem to be a rock solid motor. But the old 4.0 was a better motor.
