IH Penny from the beach today(in the UK)

found this indian head penny today on a local beach.
looks like it has been there a long time.
it has been made into a brooch/pin type thing.
the coin is only mounted in there and will come out.
i've found three IH pennies over here now (other two were in farmers fields)
also found two silver 3 cent pieces in fields.

It may be worth taking it out of the setting to check for a mint mark. The 1908s is a key date. Cool find!

thanks for the comments.
i've took the coin out of the mount.
there isn't a mintmark on the back.
apart from the staining from the mount,
the coin looks new on the back,the front has worn down with the movement through the sand over the years.

I think it was probably a cuff link or a removable button (old style ladies dress)
