IKE Dollars

Hi
I like IKE's myself. According to my 2006 Redbook the silver IKES were
1971-s,1972-s,1973-s(The key coin),1974-s,1776-1976-s.

The 73s,74s, and 1776-1976s, also had a copper clad version. These were the ones from the San Fran mint that went into circulation.

The silver IKE's were 40% silver.

Hope this helps,

Oh BTW,

I have found a few Peace dollars while coin roll hunting Ike's a few years ago.......

Wish I could find rolls of big dollars. I hardly ever even find them loose. My bank tried to get some from the Fed and they said they had them but when they came they were just the new ones.

There were no silver versions of the business strike Ike dollars. If you find a 40% silver Ike, it is either a special proof coin, or a commemorative uncirculated mint coin. I have one of the latter coins, they go for around $6-10 depending on the price of silver.
