ike question

while bank hopping this morning i ended up with 145 ikes.I have never searched ikes before so what should i be looking for.I ran a quick edge search and nothing stands out but im uncertain on dates or anything else to watch for....got 13 40% halfs while hopping...jon

The 1971S, 72S, 73S, 74S & the 1976S's are all 40% silver clad A few 74D's & 77D's were silver clad in error! I hope this is a start for ya.

Anything with a S mint mark could be silver clad and there are a few 1974D and 1977D that were made in silver clad by mistake. Probably easiest way to tell would be if any with the S mint mark make a different sound then the others. And i believe the silver clad was only produced thru the bicentennial year, after that there only copper nickel clad

Look for 1973 as they were only issued in government sets.
