Ha nice poll! So far I haven't drank any of my homebrew yet but I got 3 batches that should be ready in the next few weeks! By March I'm sure I'll have the hang of it! You suckers can be my test subjects.

BTW - Anyone else want to camp it at the campground in Olney? They do have a shower house from what I hear.

Todays Update....

Looks like we have our final hunter of the group...
Still researching sites....and mapping out locations...would like to get out and about but due to weather that is on hold..
Hope to have all the sites we will be hunting decided upon by late Jan. early Feb...The date is now firm and will not be changed...
The local parks have been mentioned by a few,and there may be a night hunt planned for these...

About all for now..

Today's update....

The grist mill site and the counterfeiting site has been scratched from the list,mostly due to time constrainsts as they are just to far out of our target zone....

We are 90% sure we will be hunting a ghost town....

Looks as if most will be arriving sometime Friday, hopefully we can all meet up that night for a group hello,and discuss the game plan....and finalize the logistics issues....

Today's update....

The grist mill site and the counterfeiting site has been scratched from the list,mostly due to time constrainsts as they are just to far out of our target zone....

We are 90% sure we will be hunting a ghost town....

Looks as if most will be arriving sometime Friday, hopefully we can all meet up that night for a group hello,and discuss the game plan....and finalize the logistics issues....

Hopefully the ghosts have dropped plenty of ghood ghost stuff for us to find. Will ghost silver read right on a Gharrett?

IVE HAD TERRIBLE LUCK WITH MY ACE 250 IN FARM FIELD.i WONDER IF THE ACE WORKS BETTER ON PLAYGROUNDS EXC!i HOPE THIS CHANGES SOON!ANYBODY ELSE HAVE BAD LUCK WITH THE ACE 250 IN FARM FIELDS?im looking forward to the hunt my ace will soon bring fun in 2 months

Don't be discouraged. . . your time will come
The ACE is a good machine and will surprise you with nice targets the more you use it.

I know a couple of hunters around here (Chicago suburbs) using ACE 250's that have done
REALLY well. . . like 50+ silvers per season and several 3K diamond rings. The places they
hunted were at one time homesteads & open fields and they are now forest preserves & parks.
As with any machine, there has to be a target in the ground before you can find it. . . research rules

I agree with watercooler,don't sweat it Silver Spoon....you will do fine down here...I owned an ace they are good machines...

Hopefully they have Gimme,but I think beings the silver is on another plain of existence then it would invert to a left side reading...

it's a good start andy, the more time you put in the easier it will be to understand what your machine is telling you. it also helps finding out where the house was 100 years ago in a cornfield that gets tilled a few times every year. tilling north, south, east and west of the homestead could drag any items in all directions for a quarter mile.

Hello all,

Just wanted to update everyone....

We have our first spot to hunt with permission received...If you want details email me...
I will say it is a town that has alot of potential...and has been around for many years...lots of history..
and lots of space to detect..

There is work going on behinds the scenes for two other spots...Both are sites with great potential as well...

im really starting to get tired of winter up here in northern illinois.Im ready for april to get here.Im ready to prove myself that i can do it!I can get some silver with the ace!

You won't have to prove it SS, just follow behind me, I usually leave the big easy silver for the smart md'ers!
