I'll find out Monday

I took off from work a couple hours early to make the convenient Va Beach low tide. The surf was actually pleasant to hunt for a change, but LOTs of heavy trash in the mine to slow down the hunt with my PI. Not many diggers out, I guess it was just too hot. I stayed in waist deep water and beat the heat. Just before the guards closed the beach for lightning, I get this weak signal that I almost passed up.
14K .5 Oz on my bride's kitchen scale. Three different golds; yellow, white and rose. If the stones ring true, should be close to a carat. This breaks a 2 month dry spell for me and comes on the same day I ordered my Excal 1000 to replace my Tesoro Sand Shark. I'm taking this as a good omen.

I'm pretty new to the sport, but I dabble locally with a Tesoro Vaquero. I guess my best relics are from a mid 1800's bottle dump I uncovered while digging a recently burned down Civil War home in my neighborhood. I'm hoping to get up to Amelia County on a friend's farm in the fall. Most of my land diggin so far has been schoolyards and city parks.
