Illinois lawmakers commit open treason

Sometimes I wonder if people even know what Socialism actually is.

Let's see . . . I have some knowledge of this thing.

I go out and buy a pair of jack stands to work on my jeep. When I am through, I put them in my garage and go on my merry way. The next day, my brother-in-law sees the jack stands in my garage and decides he would like to use them so he takes them without telling me and puts them under his Yugo to change the oil. When he's done he leaves them in the back of his Yugo and they are now his.

Why? "If you aren't using those tools, they no longer belong to you. They belong to who ever is using them." --- He learned it in Kalifornia.

Amazing how a little adjusting with a tire iron can convince folks that that won't work in Arkansas. Used the tire iron to peel back that sardine can, took back my jack stands and told him that since he wasn't driving the car at the time, it wasn't his and that I wanted those jack stands inside since he wasn't using them either.

Bill, I am really starting to look forward to the songs you post! Anyhow I am pleased to see you are with me as evidenced by the song lyrics "we don't need no thought control, teacher leave them kids alone" Abolish the dept. of education. Our kids would be better off if we turned the schools back into schools instead of indoctrination camps for our young.:occasion14::laughing7:
diesel,

Here's a little tune the lighten the air....so to speak.

So, what's the SOLUTION :dontknow:

Go back to the Constitution.

Stop coddling the kids with trophies for participation. If you get rewarded for being a failure, you have no reason to try to succeed. When kids find the world doesn't really work that way, they are ill equipped for the reality of life in this world.

Stop trying to effeminate the boys. Let the boys be boys, just teach them to be civilized. :censored:.

Stop trying to make the girls more masculine. Teach them to be ladies and to have respect for themselves and others.

Actually use the schools to EDUCATE STUDENTS ABOUT MATH, HISTORY, SCIENCE, AND GOVERNMENT rather than as indoctrination centers for those who want to destroy this country.

You think a lot of people at the gun show have a different idea about america and wonder what the real motive is, fine I disagree however what do you think about pro gun people not at gun shows?

Gun shows can be about many things. I was at the one I mentioned because I got interested in forging knives and wanted to see what was being done in that area. Like I said A lot of people's motives can be questioned, certainly not all people. The person that wrote "The Anarchists Cookbook" has a apology on Amazon.com for ever writing the book. He admits his motives were wrong. Curious.
Many pro gun people wrongly think those against current gun laws are Liberals. Not always. I once worked with a guy that was left of Mao politically but shot pistols Nationally. Side note: He learned he naturally shot between heartbeats. Politics are not a barometer for everything. Most people are not in lock step with Limpballs. It's ok to split your vote. I can be conservative about protecting our National Parks but liberal about recreational prospecting.

Conservative about protecting national parks bit liberal about recreational prospecting? Do you mean you think parks should be locked away from prospecting, or did I misunderstand?

I agree about the part where you say stop coddling kids and let them make mistakes.

However, the rest was highly offensive on multiple levels.

Offensive? I thought it was well thought out and very truthful, you don't think the schools are there to indoctrinate? I would strongly disagree with you if you don't think there indoctrinating kids!

hvacker: I have never been to a gun show before. I tried to go to one once, but there was a bouncer checking people for tremors at the door. When he saw how bad mine was they decided it would be safer if I didn't go in. Hurt my feelings a little bit but I can't say he was wrong.

I agree with you on the interpretation thing.
Also agree with you the state vs. federal rights. I'm not as versed in American history as most people on this site. In your opinion, when do you think the tide turned away from states rights and more towards federal rights? Was it before or after Andrew Jackson marched into SC and started kicking names and taking azz?

Sorry about your tremors. I'm not well versed on history either. Probably my fault for falling asleep in class. Loosing State powers might have been like cooking frogs. Slowly. The States have become addicted to the Feds intervention. Congratulations to those States that had the huevos to pass medical pot laws against Fed law. The idea that States can't choose how to medically treat their people when they , in the end, hold that responsibility for their people, is way over steeping presumed powers.
Maybe it all cooks down to who has the biggest guns. Americans (US) have become afraid of our Government. Just receiving a letter from the IRS for instance. The reaction of our police when the FBI takes over an investigation. Now if the Fed wants to engage in war they twist a few arms and go to it. Usually cultivating fear in it's people to get rid of any decent. Big Brother knows best.

Sometimes I wonder if people even know what Socialism actually is.

I doubt many could accurately describe Socialism except in it's extremes. I doubt most people would want our country to be w/o a little socialism. There was a time here when many fire departments were private and wouldn't respond to a call that wasn't a member. We could have thousands of toll roads.
I know from history we also wouldn't want to be enslaved by capitalists. They are even meaner.

Really? Capitalists are even meaner.....ok.

Certainly isn't freedom!

This isn't an argument, just something a Russian visiting the US in the 80's spoke. He said in some ways Russians are more free that Americans. He said "We are free to never be homeless. Free to never be unemployed.Free to always be fed. (well, that depends)."
It's all just point of view and what freedoms your talking about. Still, I'll take my chances in the USA.

what part of "god given" rights do law makers not understand ? -- god given rights CAN NOT BE REMOVED by mere human law makers

a right given to the people of america by the constatution can not be "removed" from the people without proper due process of amending the constatution via congress and radifaction by the states -- no one man --can "change" the constatution by his "say so' -ie "order"---- this country is not a dictatorship-- congress is to make "law" not the president , congress is to "amend" the constatution not the president -- he is taking on powers not his unto his office.

diesel,

Nice to see we can find some common ground......so to paraphrase Red...."At least I can look in the mirror and say I stood for something".....Don't mince words at times but if I feel my stand is correct to my mind that's what folks will hear......Never did like getting led around by the nose....goes back to my rebellious youth I guess and my hard headed celtic roots....lol...

You're (like many here) a contradiction in terms Ivan. "He can't do this! He can't do that!" and yet your last statement is "He IS doing this! He IS about to do that!". Should tell you something about those in power that mate!

Also, i'm aware that "the Holy commandments" were "God Given" (apparently), but i seem to have missed his tour of the USA. When was this exactly?

I think most of us agree that our rights were not given to us specifically by "God". They were however, written into our constitution by men who believed in God, for the most part anyway, and beacause of this belief wrote the constitution with religious influence. They stated all men are created equal. They also stated that men are "Endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights....." Apparently they were not saying the constitution gave us the rights but these rights were "Creator given", not quite "God given" but I'm going to assume that's what they meant. If you think you were created by Allah, you got the same rights according to our constitution. These rights can only be transferred with the consent of the person possessing those rights. I don't need 8 years of graduate school to get the jist of what these men were saying. I'm in a country that was founded on THAT constitution and I have ALL of the rights granted by it and I don't intend on transferring any of them.
