I have no idea what it is, but it's pretty cool. Does that hole at the top/bottom go all the way through? Maybe a really large bead? Looks like it has fingerprints on both sides? Where did you find it?

Thank you, it was found next to a lake in Florida NY next to my friends house. Yes it goes all the way through. Hole on the bottom is larger than the one on top.

I belive this was made by Piddocks. A sort of mollusc which can burrow through stone.
Piddocks are a strange group of clam-like shellfish that burrow into soft rocks such as clay and sandstone. They begin this process after settling as larvae and slowly enlarge and deepen the burrow as they grow

Looks like a clay "shotgun" to me, used for smoking whacky-tobacky. If the hole in the 'face' goes through, that would be what they call a 'carburetor' for smoothing out the toke.

Its a surprised face made from clay! see the mustache and eyebrows? Does the hole go through? might be a bead or a dolls head
