A few days ago at work, I purchased a few items from the staff canteen. Among the coin I received as change was a 1961 quarter. Cool,I thought. Dont see many silver coins anymore. I left work(after checking to see if there were anymore silver coins to be had) and headed home. I was riding through a small town on the way when I remembered my wife wanted me to pick up some "s" hooks. I stopped at the local hardware store and bought the hooks and a few bolts, nuts and washers. In mychange was another silver quarter. This one from 1957! 2 silver quarters from 2 different stores in the same day!! Now I am fired up to do some md'ing!! But maybe coin roll hunting is the way to go.

Just keep doing what your doing!

I guess you can't be blamed for getting 2 silver quarters in change. It's not like you could control that, but, of course, you can't take any pride in it either. Anybody could have got those. What you want to do is have your missus or one of the kids go out back in the yard in the dark of night and bury those quarters separately while you remain locked up in the bathroom. Then the next morning you can take your detector and go out in the back yard and attempt to locate those 2 quarters. If you find them you can take pride in doing so. If not, then you have a new place to hunt when you want a quick hunt. Remember, protocols are most important when metal detecting.

Hey Dimetime, lighten up. Old Coon had his tongue in his cheek when he replied.
On the original thread: Keep your eyes open. These are hard times, very hard, and will only get worse.
A lot of "rat hole" money is comming out of cookie jars and making it's way through the system.
I ask my broker what to buy as a hedge against obamanition. He suggested canned goods and ammunition.

I second that.... :dontknow:

Could be that someone found grandpa's stash and they've been out spending it. If you live in a small town, then get to the bank and start going through those coin rolls!
