Well, work today didnt allow me to pick up my order of 2 boxes today, I will be grabbing those tomorrow.

I did manage to buy some silver and gold off the guy in town that I know. He was a bit hard up for cash.

I picked up.

2.3 g 14k Chain worth about $70
1942 Six pence worth about $1.45

I took a risk on these as I was not sure if they were or were not silver. They sounded close and it turns out they are.

1912 Drei Mark worth about $16.50
1913 Drei Mark worth about $16.50
Sterling Chain and Pendant Worth about $2
And a single Ike.

I asked him how much he wanted, he asked for $50, I offered $65 knowing I could still make about $5 if the Drei marks turned out to be junk. Turns out I scored big.

So......

My totals for the month are as follows.

1 - 2003 S Proof 90%
3 - 90%
45 - 40% Half
1 - Washington Quarter
3 - Rosies
1 - 1942 Six pence ( Street Purchase )
2 - Drei Marks ( Street Purchase )
1 - Sterling Necklace ( Street Purchase )
1 - 2.3g 14k Chain ( Street Purchase )

9.6818 ozt found. +3.6585 ozt past my goal of 116 ozt

2 Boxes of halves due tomorrow, 5 boxes due on Friday.

Post a picture of the drei marks, they may have some more value than $16.50.

The Prussian 3 marks (shiny one): If in XF, it is $24. Otherwise, it is just the silver value.
The Wurtemburg 3 marks: If in XF, it is $30. If in VF, it is $20. Otherwise just silver value.

I am not the greatest at grading coins. I am only interested in the silver value anyways. If I could find a way to trade this off for the equivalent value in silver, I would do so in a heart beat.

Hold on to those 2 coins, and maybe I could buy them from you in a few weeks (I am only 13 and my parents won't let me do those things until June).

Well, I grabbed the dime from the teller today, 1963 Rosie. I found a dime at work and used that to pay for it :D

The Dateless Buffalo that I found recently has been sitting in vinegar for about 3-4 weeks. Well, its no longer dateless, its 98 years old, 1914 with no mint mark.

Again worth more than silver, but you really just want the silver value.

I know many of the coins I have are worth more than melt, if I find the right buyer, I will sell and replace with more silver. I just dont actively look for buyers lol. I really dont intend on selling any time in the next 20 years.

Got my 5 boxes today.

Picked up 2 from bank 1. Found out she didnt order me more boxes for next week, I am assed out and will miss 3 boxes. With my new job, I can only pick up on Friday, orders are done on Thursday and the boxes are delivered on Tuesday. Oh well. One week missed cant hurt me too bad can it?

Box 1: 1/40%
Box 2: Skunked

I dump the 2 boxes at the bank that tried to credit me $59 too much last time. I give them my coin they do their thing and they come back and say I had $1015.50. I brought in $999.50. I didnt question them, I took the extra because I just dont have the time to fuss with it, with my second pick up bank nearing closing time. I will talk with the vault manager, give her the $16 and hopefully not get cut off for dumping halves.

Bank 2

Box 1: 15/40% 6/90%
Box 2: Skunked
Box 3: Skunked

Tomorrow during lunch at work I will be dumping $1000 in halves and grabbing some dimes and nickels.

4.5366 ozt found today, 8.0604 found in CRH/Teller trays this week not too shabby.

My totals for the month are as follows.

1 - 2003 S Proof 90%
9 - 90%
76 - 40% Half
1 - Washington Quarter
4 - Rosies
1 - 1942 Six pence ( Street Purchase )
2 - Drei Marks ( Street Purchase )
1 - Sterling Necklace ( Street Purchase )
1 - 2.3g 14k Chain ( Street Purchase )

17.7422 ozt found. +11.7189 ozt past my goal of 116 ozt

Next week is just 3 boxes of halves, I dont expect a whole lot but you just never know, that is the thrill.

Been a while since I posted.

Earlier this week I did some dimes and nickels.

27 rolls CW Nickels, Skunked
64 Rolls CW Dimes, Skunked

One teller didnt order my halves so I got nothing from her, the other ordered my 3 boxes.

Box 1: Skunked
Box 2: 6/40% and 2/90%
Box 3: Skunked

1.6108 ozt found today

This weekend I have a coin auction to hit, we will see how things go. A coin from the Philipines made of silver and 3 or 4 gold coins are up for sale at one auction and at another, 400 lots. I will be trying to hit both this Sunday if possible.

My totals for the month are as follows.

1 - 2003 S Proof 90%
11 - 90%
82 - 40% Half
1 - Washington Quarter
4 - Rosies
1 - 1942 Six pence ( Street Purchase )
2 - Drei Marks ( Street Purchase )
1 - Sterling Necklace ( Street Purchase )
1 - 2.3g 14k Chain ( Street Purchase )

19.3530 ozt found. +13.3297 ozt past my goal of 116 ozt

May should hopefully start off with a bang, 8 boxes of halves for the first week. Still waiting on that magical 100+ keeper box though I would gladly accept a 50 keeper box :D

Well, the month of April is almost over, I dont think I did too shabby this month. Granted, some was purchased from sellers or at Auctions but you get what you can when you can.

The auctions today didnt produce to well, I only picked up one item and I picked it up because I thought the coin looked nice and really dont know if I would see another one. I grabbed up a 1908 1 Peso coin from the Philippines. I paid $15 and its worth $16. I was going to be in the area anyways to buy some material to make some rod holders so I didnt waste any gas going down.

IMAG0680.jpg IMAG0681.jpg

One guy picked up 60 ASE's for $35 ea. I thought he was insane to pay that much. Might as well go to a local dealer at that rate. Hell, might save a few bucks, I am sure they would have cut him a deal on the premium on 60 rounds.

So, the end of the month is as follows

1 - 2003 S Proof 90%
11 - 90%
82 - 40% Half
1 - Washington Quarter
4 - Rosies
1 - 1942 Six pence ( Street Purchase )
2 - Drei Marks ( Street Purchase )
1 - Sterling Necklace ( Street Purchase )
1 - 2.3g 14k Chain ( Street Purchase )
1 - 1908 Peso (0.5144 oz)

19.8674 ozt found. +13.8441 ozt past my goal of 116 ozt

Nickels - 55 Rolls/$108 searched, skunked
Dimes - 231 rolls/$1155 searched, only 2 Rosies
Quarters - 11 Rolls/$110 searched, 1 Washington
Halves - 1128 Rolls/$12,280 searched, 82/40% and 15/90% with ZERO Franklin/Walking/Barber halves

Total searched $13,653

Only 43% skunk rate on Halves this month compared to 55% last month. 6 less boxes but almost 3 more oz found. 3.43/40% per box - .65/90% per box, averaging .7503 oz per box. I hope it continues, I have 30 boxes due next month.

I cant wait.
