Steven Craig Brown, 59, of Marcellus, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at his home.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1953 in Kalamazoo to the late John Donald and Beverly (Murphy) Brown.

Steven is survived by his loving wife, Rea (Jung) Brown of Marcellus;
two daughters, Harmony Brown of Oxnard, Calif. and Erin Brown of Marcellus;
two sisters, Kimberly Chaffee of California and Patricia Chaffee of Redondo Beach, Calif.;
a brother, Roger Chaffee of Delton; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both his parents; a brother, Donald; and a sister, Melanie.

Steven worked as volunteer EMT for many years with several different companies;
he owned his own business for over 10 years in Kalamazoo.
He also worked on the railroad and was a carpenter.
He was an avid metal detector enthusiast and enjoyed hunting.

The family would like to send a special thank you to
Three Rivers Health Hospice and the University of Michigan Oncology Program.

A memorial service has been scheduled
for Saturday, Jan. 12 at 11 a.m., at Moorepark Community Church,
located at 55701 Wilbur Road, Three Rivers, MI 49093.

Memorial donations may be given to Marcellus Fire and Ambulance,
177 E. Main St., Marcellus, MI 49067 or Lending Hands of Michigan, 5350 Ivanhoe Court, Portage, MI 49002.

I will miss going water detecting with you on the pontoon, I will miss hanging out with you in the shop, I will miss seeing you at the club meetings, hearing you laugh, but mostly the smile that was always on your face. Thank you for being my friend.
