Pegleg
I read quite a few of your threads here. You and your threads will be missed.

Sleep peacefully

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

This is nice. :) A place to pay tribute to good folks who meant so much to so many. I met Pegleg at the expo---what a great guy. Always had time to tell a story, sharing his experiences and knowledge to those who would listen. He will surely be missed.

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

What a really, really GREAT thing to do.Someone has taken the time and energy to say goodbye to someone who obviously meant so much. I have personally never met ole Pegleg, however, it is awesome to know that he has made a impression on so many. If the way to Heaven is by counting how many people will miss you than he has dully arrived. Gypsy Thanks for posting his picture and this thread.

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

He was one of a kind for sure. We didn't talk much, but he did send me a lead in one of his correspondences. Pretty selfless kinda guy, from what I've read and personally seen.

He'll be missed-

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

Pegleg (Don Webb), I just wanted to take the time and respond here and
say thanks for being the genuine man that you where on the forum.

It's from such a man that everyone can learn from in the best and the worst
of times.

I can honestly say that there was NOT a time that I entered the TreasureNet
forum and did NOT look FIRST for YOUR posts or replies. I had never done this
before with any single one of the 21000 registered members on this forum and
can honestly and sadly say I will never again.

Don, thanks for spending so much time with us and sharing with us your past
experiences, your new ideas, your thoughts and your feelings.

You are missed tremendously... God Bless...

Thanks Pegleg (Don Webb) for being YOU!

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

Well said Pepper. Pegleg was a "one-off" unique person. :)

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

He will be missed. I could have learned a lot more from him. All I had to do was ask. R.I.P.

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

he'd make ya laugh and scratch your head at the same time.

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

I was on the treasure coast this week and the thoughts of his stories kept running through my head. I miss the guy.

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

Never met PEGLEG, but read numerous posts by the gentleman.

May he rest in peace.

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

Whatever happened to Pegleg's Expo? Did anyone carry it on?

Not that I am aware of.
The restaurant would of been kind of cool also.
RIP Don

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

Just a small FYI, for all who knew Don,
Before his big move to Florida,
He was a drylander, a regular prospector.
That's when I met him.

He always had a soft spot for us "tin pans"
and we will always miss him.

Don, when you get done digging that hole up there,
Drop me a rope.

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

Thanks Thom:
For a little more info about Don.
I didn't know him for to long, but he lived down the road from me. He was a cool guy, and great to talk with.

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

Dale,

We were swapping pictures while he was convalescing,
he was going to make a callender of treasure site pictures to help fund the get together of his.
When he saw some of ours he decided to make two.
one of dryland treasure signs and one of water or ocean photos.

I will see if I can find the one that he liked the most of the ones I sent.
I fear that If I don't post it no one will see it.
It was one of those pictures that is hard to believe exists if you haven't seen it.

Here it is as Don saw it.
No other info except that the only alterations were when I made it small enough to post.

Re: In Memory of Pegleg

PegLeg was certainly one of a kind. He was a go getter and did more on his one good leg than most of us do with two! Nothing seemed to hold him back.

xXx, a member of ARRG has started a show up in Myrtle Beach, SC. The guy who had talked about carrying PegLegs show on dropped the ball last year. A lot of shipwreck enthusiast will be attending but it is geared for all disciplines. Its going to be pretty big!
Here is a link to the show. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,166512.0.html

I am sure PegLeg will be remembered for years to come!

RIP buddy!
