Stoppe by WF and got a few halves at drive thru.....all skunked.
Casually ask if they had any of the old large dollars, and tellers says, she has three, and I says,
I'll take them :hello2::hello2::headbang:

Nice little trio and my First in the wild......1923 in circulated condition

Very nice find!

Wow, someone else finds another silver dollar. Very cool. I found my first Peace dollar in early December last year. Mine was a very slick 1922.

Congrats and welcome to the club!

Such a sweet find. It's nice to see people pulling silver dollars for FV. Maybe someday that will be me, lol.

Cool! Congrats on the sweet grab!

I thought finding 90% halves was a rush, when I found my Morgan the other day I straight up felt high as a kite!

I figure all u get is one so I am happy

Hey Jyorsky, very cool find indeed!, I always ask for the Big Dollars in hopes of finding something but, I have yet to get a Peace or Morgan or anything..... HH, Maverick.

You lucky son of a gun! What a find! Wow!!!!

Today's the day! ~Mel Fisher

Hey, I should say Mr. Maverick, you find more in a week than I find in a year...., I just dabble here and there...a big buy for me is $200/$500, every few weeks.....thanks for encouraging. From all...
Bought 50 in Ike's and all skunks..........

Question........

Is there a way to just look at Ike's to tell is 40% silver Couple of the d Ike's have a very thick nickel band???

Jy

The 40% silver Ike's have an S mint mark. All '71S & '72S Ikes are silver and some of the '73S, '74S & '76S Ikes are silver too. You should be able to tell by the edges and the overall color of the coin which ones are silver too. Here's a couple of '71S Ikes I found a year ago in Sept of last year. The silver edges were very noticeable as you can see.

H$H!
