i have been attending seeded hunts regularly for about 4 yrs now.
i never realized that there 2 types of these hunts. your open hunt and benefit
hunt.
in the open hunt. all entry fees are put back into the ground as prizes.
the hosting organization makes a bit on the raffles and snax.
but is not looking for big profits.
the benefit hunt is more of a fundraiser/donation operation.
do not expect the same level of returns, because a portion is withdrawn from
your entry fee as a donation to the organization.
therefore they do not put as much in the ground.
i am a somewhat better than average hunter , but couldnt come out good
today because i failed to recognize the difference between these types of seeded
hunts.it was clearly labeled a benefit hunt. my bad
If you got not much to do, or want to donate to whats probably a worthy
cause anyway go ahead. but like playing short coin. dealer pushes on 21
in blackjack. or eliminating the bonus for natural 9 in bacccarat.
you are playing a different game.
to me im looking for the best odds so.
next time ill be more careful and not attending unless it has
the magic words.
ALL HUNT FEES PUT INTO THE GROUND AND RETURNED AS PRIZES.
