Welcome aboard jimzlady.

Unfortunately, other than few Points in the next to last photo it looks like you have a lot of natural stones. There may be a Hammerstone or Mano in there somewhere but the bulk of it looks like natural rocks.

Thanks for looking but a great deal have been authenticated by Anthropolgist/ Archaeologist at Wake Forest. Look a little closer the markings do not show well in these quickly snapped pics. Thanks though.

Know there are some naturals here, but will post better pictures on a better day. Thanks

Uh Huh, Can we see the authentication paperwork?
Have got to go with the Reaper on this.

Looks like a heck of a camp

Welcome all new members. I have to ask where do you store your collection? You have some points

Thank you for the reference link, it was quite helpful. It actually proves to me that yes I do have some authentic points and tools. I realize and knew when posted and actually stated that I was just starting to get into what I had collected and some had been authenticated. I will continue to take pictures, but more like those shown in the link. You cannot tell much from the photos I had posted. These were 98 percent found in same area, my farmland and creek/old creekbed. A few which I will point out later were found in NC not in VA where I am located. The ones found in NC were on land that had permission to look on. Thanks again for your assistance, rather than a flat out insult like some posted (in my opinion only). Not to be a whiner, just stating that I know what I have, and I know there are a lot of items that are just natural rocks. The hafting and knapping does not show in the type of pictures taken yesterday, I will do better. Many thanks again. 98 percent or more found on my own property, farmland, creek and creekbed. Te knapping and hafting does not show in the pictures posted yesterday. The other 2 percent were found in NC on private land that I had permission to look on.

I have many more, like I said I am just beginning to get into sorting through my collection and have to take GOOD pictures if I expect anyone to see the markings on them. Thanks for your response.

I live in VA have personal friends in NC, the pictures posted were not very good and I was not up to taking better ones yesterday, I will post more today. The majority of mine were found n my own property, with a very few found on friends property in NC which I will denote. The Wake professor is now retired, and out of courtesy for his privacy will not divulge any information on him. I actually started out with arrowheads, then years later fossil hunting and now everything from prospecting in NC and VA near Mineral and other places, to the tools that I have found here on my farm. Thanks for your interest keep checking back as my album will start today. Thanks for your interest. Got some negative feedback yesterday, but I know a lot of it ws due to the bad pictures that did not show the hafting, and wear etc of my finds.

Welcome Jim! I'm directly on the VA. Line, about 30 minutes north of Durham. Where about are you? Good to have some home boys here. I couldn't get your pics. to show on my phone, by the way. I'll try to log in on a PC.

Will be posting a few pictures after a while. Hope they are better than last night, did not take many of the arrowheads today, a lot of quartz and more flint also; brb

There are no pictures. What are you all talking about? LOL!

He said he would repost better ones. I haven't seen the originals either; he took them down.

Well I left the darn lens cap on, not....but I did have camera on wrong setting and all the pictures were black?.. I will try again later, it is storming and getting dark early. I promise to get some up tomorrow, maybe a little gold too. I am having to learn by trial and error in order for hafting and knapp ping to show good, but stick with me. I will get er done!!
