Indian Heads and Mystery Relic: UPDATED PHOTO

The pics of the Merc are from my front yard last night, couldn't resist adding them to today's finds. I've covered this area next to my front sidewalk many times with my stock coil and different settings but I might have to give credit to the 12 inch coil on this one.
I revisited my favorite one room schoolhouse site this afternoon and with the weeds down and the added area that this 12 inch coil covers I was able to coax three more coins out of this site.
The big piece is a whatzit. It's aluminum approximately 8 inches in diameter. Thanks for havin a look. HH,Jerry
Here's a picture of the large "pot/pale" item after boiling it to soften the aluminum and straightening it out a bit

Re: Indian Heads and Mystery Relic

Looks good. Man, you are getting close to hitting that 1877. ;D

There are three 1873 varieties of IH's. One is a "closed" 3 (worth an extra $10 to $20). The big money variety is a "doubled liberty".

Great finds. I think you also have found the original version of a whoopie cushion. They stopped making the metal ones quickly though...... :tongue3:

That big thing looks like a gas tank for a rider or maybe a snowmobile.

Hey Jerry!
I am glad that turned out to be a pail, not an old Bedpan!
