The first picture is an example of an Model 1881 Dress Helmet.
Second pic: unfired cartridge and general service button.
Does anyone know what the iron item that resembles a bicycle chain shown in pics 3 and four (bottom) are?
Fifth pic: An old brass key
Last: Part of a plume from a Model 1881 dress helmet as shown in pic one.
Thanks for looking. HH

Nice finds alderan - thanks for sharing...

Some great stuff there. Congrats.:icon_thumleft:

That chain is sure a head scratch-er. It's got to be a drive chain, but to what??? You have some great finds, I love that sort of stuff.

Sorry I think I mislead you. It's a solid piece of iron. I was only commenting on the shape because it looks like a bicycle chain. lol

I read the title to refer to the French & Indian War.. then I saw the hair on a stick and the first thing that popped into my head was a scalping display stand lol. AWESOME stuff you found good job!

CW stuff is getting to be so overpriced and all the Indian War stuff is equally as cool to me.

This is a wild guess but your loop of iron might be part of a train hitch. Check out aquachigger, I believe he found some in a river. GLHH mike

very cool, you round ring buckles are true saddle cinch buckles(I say true, because I see so many that are ided as such, and are not)
