When I first pulled the piece out of the dirt it looked the item in his hand was a surfboard. Probably meant to be a shield of some sort though. Lol

Congrats on a fine hunt..and also your first silver! Isn't it amazing..this week I dug an 1905 Indian Head cent, 110 years old in very good condition..but the ten year old Zincolns are half gone..sheeesh..they don't make NOTHIN good anymore..lol..great hunt, thanks for sharing..ddf

Congrats on the silver. Cool wake boarding Indian!

oh:laughing7:Thought you there talking about what he was standing on.

Great finds, Rich Jaws, Your Native American lead figure was made by the Barclay toy company between 1935-1941, and listed in their original catalog as: #754 Indian Chief, tomahawk and shield. Your Chief has a little battle damage with the right arm holding the tomahawk missing. Happy Hunting, Sub 8-)

Thanks Sub. Truly appreciate the information. Much more info than I could have ever hoped for!

Original paint on the Indian?....AWESOME!!!!!
congrats on the digs

Lol, I'm still thinking it's about what he is standing on. Great finds.

Yes, original paint is on it Dave. Bootybandit had it right, it looks like he is holding a wake board. He is from the 40s and was way ahead of his time Aussie. Lol
