I haven't visited this site in so long that apparently the format has changed. How long ago did this happen? I'm not a big fan of it, but the iPad app is nice. Anyway, I'm going to try and stick around and give help when I can and try to receive help as in this case. I bought this tea kettle for $3 and I can't find much on it. First off, I detected a smell from the kettle. Being the knowledgable high schooler I am, I knew that what I was smelling was indeed marijuana. I poured a few ashes out and then proceeded to pay the man, about 10 years older than I am, and he said "yeah, I like that thing myself." I thought that was quite funny and moved on with my hunt. So, here I am today. I cleaned it up a bit and the inside still smells pretty bad. I cleaned the bottom with some old Mother's chrome polish material and it shined right up. I believe the year to be from 1926 and I'm almost certain that it's plated because it says "silver soldered" on the bottom and theres no 925 mark. Any information on the piece and it's value is greatly appreciated.
