I was wondering about this box ? I can't find any info on J. E. & Gary co .

What city is Archway 26 & 28 beach street in ?

It looks like it "reads" Manufacturer to me. I'm Sorry Mojjax, I have tried everything and cannot come up with it. Maybe one of these Old t-net pros can ID it.

Insect powder AND candy??
I'm thinking that it held stock that was sent to a merchant for stocking the shelves. Wooden boxes were commonly used before the advent of corrugated fiberboard(card board) for packing and shipping. It likely held some type of product from the manufacturing company.
Oh, and I resemble the comment, "old".......

Trish , I got it at a garage sale here in Maine , it had a bunch of rusty files in it .

Boston is not to far from here , Bigcypress . I found a Beach street there on google earth (Suffolk), but the Archway part .....???? I did find Archway street , but it was quite a distance away from Beach , St.
