Detector(s) used
CTX 3030, E-Trac
Last night was just one of those nights where I knew if I attempted to lay down I would roll around all night rather than sleep. I decided that instead of rolling around, I would take my detector to the vacant lot next to my house and try out my new 8x6 coil. For some reason large nails were giving me a high tone so I ended up digging a ton of those. However, a couple of the high tones were true. I was able to pull 2 Lincoln's, 2 wheats (1911 and 1926) and a 1904 "O" barber quarter. I would have been happy with just the wheats! Popping old silver out of a plug at 3am is an awesome feeling! All targets were around 6 inches down and all were mixed in with iron. The smaller SEF coil works great!

Thanks for looking!

Nice finds..as far as the insomnia goes, don't happen to be a big fan of diet soda's or food?

You have people on both sides of the fence saying its safe and some saying its not. You can make you're own conclusions, but I choose to stop ingesting anything with aspartame myself a week ago because of an onset of anxiety which didn't ever happen before and without any trigger..started drinking diet soda to lower blood sugar about 2 years ago..which wasn't that bad anyway, so now I drink NO soda's. Just something to consider.

BTW..would love to find me a silver quarter of any type lol..only dimes so far for me.

My diet soda consumption is out of control! Can I still have coffee?! Please say yes!

Coffee is fine...maybe slowly switch to decaf to help the sleep issue, but don't use artificial sweeteners that has aspartame..most all "diet" products will tell ya in the ingredients if it does. Drink more water and for meals drink 2% milk or natural juices, but watch the juices if ya have blood sugar issues.

I was the same way like 7 diet sodas a day. Will prob loose about 20 pounds as well if ya slightly over.

Hope that helps ya out..I feel lots better a few days out and anxiety is getting better too. I wont trust any "FDA" hired goon to debunk this stuff ..I'd rather stop it and not have to worry who is right or wrong lol..

Happy hunting.

Historically, I have always drank Tea and Coffee with no sweeteners whatsoever. However, my wife got me hooked on adding saccharin to my Tea (Iced and Hot).

My stress level is throught the roof normally, I have trouble sleeping too. So what does this lifestyle change mean for me. I do not have any vacant lots to hunt near my home.

Hell yes!...Great finds man..I miss seeing those barbers come out of the ground.

Awesome. Now i know what i need to do when i can't sleep.Maybe i will get as lucky as you.Congrats on your finds.

Well, obviously, this isn't the ONLY cause of insomnia but for people who drink a lot of diet soda, like I did, its worth a try..Your issue could be some side effects of any medications you are on, some internal imbalance, or just the stress itself, etc.

Best thing to do is get a full blood workup done at the doctor to check for anything out of the norm or any imbalances that may be a easy fix..take vitamins, but caffeine can't help with any current sleep issue though..keeps ya wired and is the driving ingredient in most all energy drinks.

Wow, I wish my neighborhood produced finds like that! Congratulations on a very successful, although sleepless night!

Thanks! I did sleep very well after. Too bad it was only for an hour and a half before I had to be at work. I'm dragging today to say the least.

Wow. I've always suffered from insomnia so I'll be giving this a go. Probably going to need a better torch though. Actually though, I've just bought a new bed after a recommendation from my doctor. It has been helping somewhat, particularly when combined with an organic mattress and sheets that seem to help me breathe better during the night. I got them both from Zen Bedrooms over here. Perhaps I won't get too much chance for twilight treasure hunting after all!

Nice finds, what do you use for a light?

Ha! I didn't use a light. It was a pretty bright moon and the small light on my propointer helped a little when I popped the plug. It's a miracle I didn't scratch them.
