Hunting an old house site today and found an 1899 Barber dime, a 1900 indian head penny, an 1838 large cent and what looks like an 1818 large cent, all in a four foot area.

Very interesting, nice assortment, congrats!

Fantastic - a day to remember for sure - congrats !

Great spill! Congrats:occasion14:

Could that area once have contained the dreaded “clothes line”? I’ve found similar mixes at my 1750’s permission. Memorials, wheats, indians and a large cent all in a 6 foot area at different depths

It’s hard to tell Joe, theres no sign of a house or building left, but from all of the iron in the ground, no question a house was there.

Very nice old coins.
