I saw the article earlier today and agree that it is well worth reading. I think the work the volunteer group is doing is commendable. An extremely interesting read. I did laugh a bit at the comment that "some crazy American would buy a shell fragment and put it in his living room". This gig on Americans came a couple of paragraphs after the report that the group had to race the relic hunters and grave robbers that were often at a newly discovered site ahead of them. At least I haven't heard too much about grave robbing in the U.S.
