These are but a very few of what I have been finding on 4 sites here in Dekalb County, Ga. Found some axes and a couple of interesting knives I will post soon, including a neat quartzite ax with great form and what I think is a basalt knife about 6 1/2 inches in length with excellent form. No camera/pictures so the reason for scans.

The gem point next to the dime is the smallest I have ever found. It is well worked, wedge shaped to a lethal point. I am finding a lot of what I think may be micro blades, points with triangular cross sections, and a couple of other repeated non-standard shapes and designs I have not recognized as tools or points untill recently. I have to crawl around on hands and knees to find some of this stuff. Some of the points I am finding look like minature stealth fighters with very similar angels and design. I have three of these in several sizes almost identical in shape and design. I will post more as time allows and will shoot some video of these as I cannot scan many to really show dimension and shape. I have been finding these items since I was a kid about 40 years ago but more standard stuff, not like these strange items I have recognized and been finding lately. Finding some of the best stuff now.

Also saw the posts about hunting streams. Found some stuff coincidentally but never really looked until reading those posts. I went hunting in the closest stream bed down the hill from my house and found a ton of stuff some in perfect condition. Posted some pics of this separately here. I have a couple hundred more pieces I have found recently in maybe 30 hours of hunting total. Not sure of heritage of many of these so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks, mark001.
I will have to load a few files at a time here...

woot you do have 2 real artifacts.
the top 2 in the next to last grouping of pictures are real.

Thanks, natchitoches, I am making progress here. At least you can see two well enough to ID them. I am going to do some videos of all these items so they can be clearly seen and appreciated...
Too bad you cannot see the ax well enough with the other two artifacts, it is a really interesting piece in design. I have several axes that reflect generally this particular design. These scans do not allow depth of field which is why you all are misidentifying these... I apologize for that.
While a few of the oddball pieces are still up for my final determination as to application/condition I am sure of what most of these items pictured here are. Thanks, Mark

I see nothing that makes me think the hand of man has been on these rocks. I have alot of questionable rocks myself and they make a nice addition to the fish tank and flowerbed. When you do get onto sum real artifacts u will have a DUH kinda moment. i have a few pieces from ur state mostly Dalton and Valdolsta areas. good luck and keep looking.

More rocks?

These scans donot reflect these properly so I can see why the misconception on the part of some here but the best I can do for now. Found the two quartzite knives in my yard. Found the hard sandstone ax, drill with spokeshave and knife/spear in a rainwashed gully at about the three foot depth all lined up in a row end to end each separated by a few inches...
I see a worked piece in this pic

Mark,
What state, and what area are you finding these ?

:help:
