Nobody will probably believe this but it's the honest truth. I found all of these during a quick lunchtime hunt last week. They were all within a 6' radius on a slope at one of the local parks. We have a large engineering / agriculture college here in town with lots of students. I don't know if these all came from foreign students at some kind of rally at the park or if someone lost a coin collection or what. The first 2 or 3 seemed kind of odd but as they kept coming I started thinking I might be on candid camera or something. Certainly a big mystery.

You're right, I don't believe it.

;D
:D

Nice digs! What are the ages on the coins?

awesome finds..you lucked out for sure..

Sorry,I forgot to include the mint dates. The Belgian 5 franc is 1986, the Turkish 1000 lira is 1993, the Korean 100 won is 1994, the Canadian dollar is 1988, the Canadian 25 cent is 1986, the Mexican peso is 1993, and the Mexican 50 centavos is 1995. They were all within 2 inches of the surface also.

I found two Canadian cents at a park once and I thought that was odd. Your day was just downright bizarre! Maybe a show-and-tell day gone bad?

I can believe lot of things, I believe you and I’m not a gullible person. What a day you had, you can start a foreign coin collection in one outing.
