Don and I hit a few yards over the last few days. 1st house was circa 1920. Thought it would be killer on the wheats and silvers since the yards just a couple houses away were filled with the goods. But as my hopes were kinda dashed on every dig as we pulled clad after clad. We dug over 100 plugs in this one yard. It was filled with all sorts of coins. Too bad they were all clad, but what the heck, money is money right? I did locate an Austrian 2 Groschen. It is aluminum. Pretty cool find. I also located some parts to a pocket watch and a toy car. The next house was circa 1953...iffy at best. But I though what the heck it's right next door and I have had some luck in the newer yards. NOT THIS TIME....5 coins in all, 4 clad and one Irish Eire coin from the Irish republic. It has a hole right in the middle, but still a cool find. I also located a 1963 Canadian penny. So that makes 4 different countries in two yards. Strange.....
On to the Circa 1923 home. Quite the large home for it's time and complete with fountains and waterfalls. I hope to locate the wishing well in the back wooded area. The lady that owns the home has been there 25 years and she says that there are bottle dumps in back. There is also Poison Ivy a go go......We started in the front yard and I immediately located a sterling silver ring with no stone. Not a bad start. Then it was off to the races with some wheats and finally a 63 Rosie. Some toy cars and trinkets would continue...I had to get the kids from school but we will return to the woods in hopes of finding the wishing well and the bottles...maybe some more silver in the them thar woods too....I hope so..I will keep you posted....HH jgas.
