Iron Disk

[Ripcon]

I found this iron disk at an old house site I was metal detecting this morning. It was a star embossed on the front with a number 7 in the middle of the star. Any idea what this could have gone to?

Vintage kettle lid/cover. Here's one with a Star 8 versus Star 7.

Found a Star 7 marked one, google Chattanooga Star 7 kettle and you'll see several examples.

Most sites seem to place them around the early 1900s.
