I found this at an old schoolyard, anyone have any ideas on what it is? For size reference, it is about 2 inches long.

hmmm cast iron stove part? hinge for oven door? that's just a guess though.

Ash door latch/retainer for an old wood/coal stove. Maybe from the old school's heater?
