Figured I'd post all three here rather than make three separate posts...

First - Iron Relic (I hope)

I found this in a sandstone quarry near a 19th century homestead. It is clearly broken on both sides, so it is part of something larger. Lots of modern trash at this site, but I did also find a railroad spike that I am going to say is from the 19th century until someone proves otherwise :tongue3:

Second - Silver Cap

Found on top of the soil in a modern group campsite. I am not certain that it is made of silver, just that it is silver in color. My brother thought that the 925 mark is a reference to 92.5% silver, IE sterling silver. My buddy thought maybe it was a cap to a cigar case or something. I initially thought it was aluminum, but after looking at it more, I think it may be silver (it registers as silver on my Titan 1000XD for what that's worth).

Third - Buckle thing

Found near the beach at a modern reservoir. Non-ferrous, has a heart on it. Advice on how to clean it further would be nice too. The bizarre thing is that I remember finding something almost identical to this as a kid, but I don't remember if I held on to it or not, or where I found it.

On the cap; you haven't mentioned the size, and knowing what the other side looks like would help - does it have threads like a screw top? Offhand it looks like a flask cap, and I would guess silver, even without seeing a decimal point. That's sure an odd place to mark an item (usually the mark wouldn't be where it distracts from the design)

The cap is between a half dollar and a quarter in size. No threads or notches, so it doesn't appear to have any way to fasten to anything other than friction... I'll try and get more pics of it later today.

I'm working on finding my USB scale in storage, so no weight for the moment, but it is close to that of a quarter.

Looks more and more like a half of a silver cosmetic case or pill box.
