A friend of mine was bar tending in a small town in north Florida in about 1977ish, one of the customers asked had any one found any iron rings hammered into any trees in the area and my friend had never heard of anything like that and told the fellow so, the bar tender friend was sharing the odd inquiry with myself and some of our other friends one of which a guy that lives in the area all there life remembers seeing, as he describes it as a large hand forged iron ring protruding out of an old oak tree when he was younger. dose anyone know anything about the ring?

I have seen chain imbeded about twenty feet up in a tree.
Maybe the fellow asking was looking for three rings from the Odd Fellows lodge or something.
