Not sure what this is is for . It has a pivot point , 2 eye holes - must of had a special purpose . I found it in an attic of an old building . I was helping the owner insulate , I picked it up and showed it to him and said ...'wow this is neat' he said - it's yours if you want it - just another piece of junk . I happily took it home ......and now it's here !

Not sure... looks like it has finger grips on it, and the board looks authentically old, like a "real" 2"x4". Keep searching for an answer on it. -Noodle

I know I'm wrong on this. But it sure looks like an older trailer hitch that someone mounted onto a piece of wood. Maybe because their bumper was too rusty to support it?

Michelle , I think your right . There is part of a rusty square nail on the end of the wood , so I'm thinking it's at least early 1900's maybe older .
